How do I change my address, banking information, or other information?
If you have moved or changed your phone number, email, or other information, please email us at NDSEG.PMO@sysplus.com and give us the new information so that we may update our records.
If you change your banking information, please fill out, sign, and send in the Direct Deposit Form along with a voided check from the new account (if it is a checking account). You can send the information by mail or email. Please also change your information via the NDSEG portal.
I would like to switch institutions, programs, or advisors, what should I do?
You must complete a program information change request through the NDSEG portal. For academic advisor change, you must update your academic advisor information on the NDSEG portal to ensure all monthly verifications are going to your new advisor.
I am writing a paper or giving a presentation. How do I acknowledge NDSEG funding?
In accordance with the COST Act, 10 U.S.C. 4027, you must acknowledge support provided by the Department of Defense in all materials based on or developed under our awards and provide a clear statement indicating the dollar amount of funds received from the Department of Defense. The requirement extends to copyrighted and non-copyrighted materials published or displayed in any medium above 280 characters. The following language must be used unless the award document provides different instructions:
“This material is based upon work supported by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research under award number FAXXXXXXX in the amount of [$ Value].” Please refer to the terms and conditions for the award number. The dollar value is the amount you will receive for the duration of the fellowship, excluding payment for tuition.
I would like to leave graduate school or otherwise discontinue NDSEG funding. What should I do?
Email us at NDSEG.PMO@sysplus.com and let us know the details of your situation and complete a withdrawal request via the NDSEG portal. Once withdrawal is processed all your NDSEG benefits will cease.
I received the National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) at the same time as NDSEG. How do I handle this?
This decision is up to you as the Awardee. Please keep in mind that the NDSEG Fellowship Program is non-deferrable. For more information regarding the NSF GRFP, please contact their team directly.
